About us

BIMBADEEN BRANGUS SNAPSHOT

  • Founded in 1956 – Australia’s longest serving Brangus stud
  • Herd founded by Bruce Burnham (also founding member ABCA, 1961)
  • Joined by wife Barbara in 1965.
  • Barb was very involved in the stud and was among the first to undertake artificial breeding in Australian Brangus in 1978
  • Bimbadeen has been a seedstock breeder of red and black Brangus cattle for more than six decades
  • We have stud & commercial clients throughout Australia
  • We also run a tandem commercial operation providing EU and Grassland accredited stock to market
  • Based between Monto and Eidsvold in the North Burnett, Central Qld, Australia
  • Joined in 2006 by daughter Amanda and husband Mark Salisbury
  • Bimbadeen’s stud & commercial enterprises now run by Mark and Amanda, with their children Jack and Sarah
  • Focus continues on trademark dependability, along with a vision for long-term commercial results.  We seek to achieve this through strict breeding parameters guided by on-the-ground results and genomic testing.  We run AI and ET programs to introduce fresh genetics into Bimbadeen’s deep breeding herd, but like to see our bulls and cows producing naturally too (to ensure essential mothering, reproductive and structural traits remain true).
