Weaning scenes…
Come for a ride as we share a few snaps from our mustering and weaning efforts over the past couple of weeks here at Bimbadeen…
Unloading horses for the muster – Jack and Sarah in on the action…
Sarah bringing up the cows.
And riding the wing…
Jack blocking a gate as mobs converge…
Over the hill …
Keeping them moving through long grass quite the challenge!
Second batch with Callum rounding up…
And Mark keeping the black stude cows and calves together.
Ready to tackle the creek…
One down, all down…
The mob arriving at the yards…
Typical pair.
Ready to muster the reds now…
Trickling out of the hills…
Waiting on the flat…
Callum moving the mob along the creek fence…
And heading through the gate…
Weaners getting a tummy-full after Mums depart the yards…
Not too concerned at new independance… as long as the hay is kept up to them!
Walking out the weaner bulls (a few days after initial wean).
Teenage boys only think about their tummies!
All appear to have kept their condition well through weaning process.
Following Callum down the hill …
Behaving beautifully…
…and into their new paddocks – with a river view!
We are still in the process of weaning some commercial cattle and Amanda will get down to the serious business of handling the weaner bulls and heifer as soon as the weaning is complete. We will introduce you to some of our new young bulls as well as the sales team for Rocky ABCA Sale this eyar.
Hope you enjoyed this peek into our wean.
Cheers
