Bimbadeen is proud to be involved in the Australian Brangus and Australian beef cattle industries.
In particular, we’d like to mention:
The Australia Brangus Cattle Assn (ABCA)
As a founding stud of the ABCA, Bimbadeen’s stud masters have been heavily involved over the decades – with Bruce serving as ABCA president, and Barbara being instrumental in the original Brangus magazine and serving on the committee. We continue this involvement, with Amanda recently being elected as a federal representative for the ABCA.
BreedPlan (ABRI)
Bimbadeen has more than 1800 animals with Breedplan evaluations (EBV’s) dating back to the 1970s. We continue to use these measures both as herd improvement and marketing tools.
EU Cattle Accreditation Scheme (EUCAS)
Bimbadeen’s commercial cattle are bred to meet the EU market’s requirements around complete traceability and HGP-free status. Our entire herd meets these requirements and is selected for early-finishing, easy doing cattle.
GRASSLANDS Accreditation Scheme
Most of our commercial cattle are sold into the Teys Grasslands’ scheme. Grasslands a free-range cattle that have been raised on grass pastures for their entire lives. The Grasslands Beef range is free from antibiotics and added hormones. Grasslands Beef is underpinned by the Meat Standards Australia (MSA) grading system to guarantee a consistently high eating quality experience for the consumer. The standards are fully compliant with the industry definitions for the raising claims of Grassfed, Free-Range, HGP-Free and Antibiotic-Free.
